The most basic training that every child goes through is that of doing their business properly on the toilet. It seems ridiculous to discuss but it’s the most basic thing to learn. However, we all have been using the same systems of toilet training for our children for decades.
Brian Kleinschmidt, the owner of EZ-Pee-Z, has uniquely designed the system. It uses the same adult-size toilets but with a simple modification. It contains an extra lid at the very mouth of the toilet to lift and is used as a sitting position for kids. It is like giving kids an adult toilet life experience.
The owner came on Shark Tank to request $50K for 15% of his company. He also demonstrated how the product works in place of traditional foam donuts to convince the judges to invest in his product. Let’s explore his journey on the show.
EZ-Pee-Z Net Worth Shark Tank Update
Brian was looking for an investment of $50K in exchange for 15% equity in EZ-Pee-Z. At the time of the episode, he valued his company at approximately $333K. Unfortunately, he did not secure any deals on Shark Tank, as all the sharks backed out. After the show aired, the company struggled to gain traction and has not achieved significant success. As per my rough estimate, the current net worth of EZ-Pee-Z in 2024 is around $50K.

The Owner’s Backstory
Brain related that in his early days, he would go door to door to wash cars. After college, he became involved in sales and finance. He afterward lost his whole savings. Then he started a gym business in his hometown and expanded it to three Gyms, accumulating a total of $200K.
The idea for EZ-Pee-Z came to him several years ago but he was waiting for the right time. The product is designed to elevate the potty-training process from a traditional foam-based donut to an adult-size toilet for kids to get familiarized with the natural process.
Initial Pitch
The owner came on the show to seek $50K for a 15% equity stake. He brought the prototype of his product on the stage to highlight its purpose. Even though he has not launched the product in the market he still came face-to-face with the sharks to get started with the investment initially.
Queries about the Product
Kevin was concerned about the design being difficult to sit on for kids. Brain reminded the shark that it is still in the prototype phase and he is working on it to improve its functionality.
Kevin also pointed out that it is not patent yet. The owner replied that it is true but a child can sit comfortably on an adult small size toilet without the need for foam, which can lead to a kid slipping into the toilet.
Herjavec also highlighted a concern that the product will have to be used instead of an already fixed toilet making it an extra work to be done. He answered that it’s just a matter of two screws.
Cuban then inquired about the time span he has been working on the product. He replied that it’s been a couple of years since his generation of the idea.
Shark’s Response and Final Decision
After hearing about his reasons for delaying the launch of the product, Cuban dropped out of the deal.
Corcoran followed Cuban afterward as she didn’t feel necessary to replace the traditional and easy-to-use foam donut with Brain’s product.
Then Herjavec and Lori Greiner also left the deal because of his unnecessary concept and the replacement of a whole toilet with EZ-Pee-Z.
Kevin was the final hope for Brain but unfortunately for him, he also backed out as he hated the product.
Product’s Availability
In terms of the product’s availability, I have very little to say. The company after appearing on the show didn’t live much just like its journey on Shark Tank.
Conclusion
Analyzing Brain’s journey on Shark Tank reveals that a person should work on a product that has a more practical application and that can easily replace the traditional older form of the new product. EZ-Pee-Z not only lasted long on the show in front of the sharks but it also made no marks on the wider horizon.
Hey there, it’s Andaleb Youns. I am a freelance content writer and am currently pursuing a BS in English Language and Literature. I have expertise in writing Blog Posts, social media content, and copywriting. I know how it feels to be a student and still be dependent on parents to fulfill even basic daily needs. This realization became apparent while watching Shark Tank. Although I started watching this show out of boredom, it proved to be an inspirational show. The show made me realize the importance of hard work, being independent, and of having a business of my own. I still look forward to it for entertaining and inspirational content.
