We’re always in a hurry, trying to keep up with our busy routines and packed schedules. A lot of people prefer to shower at night, but then when they try to style their hair in the morning, it often feels stiff or messy. This means they have to shower again, which wastes time. In the end, there’s barely any time left to focus on personal care and grooming.
Max Valverde, the creator of Morninghead, has come up with a clever solution for messy hair. His product looks like a shower cap but has a soft, absorbent lining. You just soak it with water, put it on your hair, and it wets your hair enough to make styling easy again.
The owner came on Shark Tank to request $25K in exchange for 20% of his company. He also demonstrated the product function on his own hair and also brought samples for the judges to monitor. Let’s see if he got the deal or not.
Morninghead Net Worth Shark Tank Update
Max was looking for an investment of $25K in exchange for 20% equity in the company. At the time of the episode, he valued his company at $125K. Max did not secure a deal with any of the sharks, so his company’s net worth remained at $125K. After the show was aired, the company received some exposure but did not experience significant growth. As per my rough estimate, the current net worth of Morninghead in 2024 is about $125K due to minimal business activity.

The Owner’s Backstory
Max is a mechanical engineer and has already invented many products. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Brown University and lives in Amsterdam with his wife and three children.
His product is useful for those who are always in a hurry and have no time to look after their stiff hair. Morninghead only needs water to make your hair more adjustable in order to save time in a morning tough routine.
Initial Pitch
Max came on the show to seek $25K for a 20% equity stake. His product is not only easy to use but also simple and efficient. It saves time for those who usually shower at night and who have no time to get in the shower in the morning. This makes styling unique and simple. The owner also claimed that he has sold over 7K in 42 different countries around the globe.
Queries about the Product
Herjavec was the first to ask questions about the cost of the product. Max answered that a single unit sells for $7.99 at the company’s site and it costs him $1.19 to make.
Corcoran then asked about his total sales. He highlighted that it is about $36K right now.
Cuban asked about his time span in the business. It has been 18 months since his inception of the Morninghead business.
Daymond wanted to know about his plans regarding the $25K. The owner replied that he basically wants to reduce the cost to make from $1.19 to $1.
Corcoran again questioned about his marketing strategy. He related that his company has made a video of their product which already has 165K views. For every 100 views, they are selling 34 caps.
Shark’s Response and Final Decision
Cuban was the first to drop out as he finds the product very small to invest in. He also looked forward to his other inventions that would be better to invest in.
Max also highlighted that people are already ordering his product in bulk as it is disposable and also can be taken in subscription. This led sharks to make fun of him.
Corcoran acknowledged the fact that hair gets stiff in the morning but she can use simple alternative solutions to settle her hair. She then dropped out as well.
Herjavec also backed out as he couldn’t see a vision and necessary purpose behind the product.
Daymond pointed out that Max can do well with the business but he cannot be able to invest in it. Thus, backed out of the deal.
Kevin was also not convinced with the product, so Max’s final chance also slipped out of his hand.
Product’s Availability
The availability of the product is under suspicion. Max after appearing on the show, became the CEO of SaaS company FareHarbor, which provides online booking for tourists. Morninghead was then looked after by his wife and was being sold through their Facebook site and eBay till 2022. It can’t be said with surety if the company is out of business or not.
Conclusion
Morninghead faced a lot of criticism from the judges on Shark Tank regarding its no compulsory usage and needs. Moreover, it didn’t do much in the practical life too. However, Max is into tourism now and his company has not been officially closed yet.
Hey there, it’s Andaleb Youns. I am a freelance content writer and am currently pursuing a BS in English Language and Literature. I have expertise in writing Blog Posts, social media content, and copywriting. I know how it feels to be a student and still be dependent on parents to fulfill even basic daily needs. This realization became apparent while watching Shark Tank. Although I started watching this show out of boredom, it proved to be an inspirational show. The show made me realize the importance of hard work, being independent, and of having a business of my own. I still look forward to it for entertaining and inspirational content.
