Krapp Strapp by Airboss Net Worth Shark Tank Update

We cannot always predict when we will need to use the washroom, and sometimes the timing can be quite unexpected. When you are camping or in a place where no restroom is available, it can create a very uncomfortable situation. In these moments, people are often forced to find an open outdoor area to relieve themselves, which can be awkward and challenging. Without a proper solution, there is a risk of getting their clothes dirty or feeling embarrassed by the situation. This can be especially tricky when you are out in nature or far from any facilities.

Bob Legg and Keith Lindsey, the owners of Krapp Strapp by Airboss, have introduced the perfect system to get done with #2 outdoors. Their product called the Krapp Strapp acts as a belt with side pockets that can be fastened with a tree to attain a sitting posture. The pockets help to carry tissues and toilet paper around in times of need.

The owners came on Shark Tank to request $65K in exchange for 10% of their company. They also presented a demo of how their product works through Mark Cuban to highlight its convenience. Let’s see if they got the deal or not.

Keith and Bobb were looking for an investment of $65K in exchange for 10% equity in the company. At the time of the episode, they valued their company at $650K. Keith and Bobb successfully secured a deal with Lori and Daymond for an investment of $65K for 33.3% equity in the company. The investment adjusted the company’s net worth to around $195K. After the show was aired, the company experienced a good boost in exposure. As per my rough estimate, the current net worth of Krapp Strapp by Airboss in 2024 is around $1.5 million.

The Owner’s Backstory

Bobb is 81 years old. He related that whenever he felt the need to use the loo, he would bend for it and then it would become difficult for him to stand again. The Krapp Strapp business started with Motion Decoys, which are used for hunting, but he eventually sold that company.

He then got associated with Keith, whom he had known for 30 years. Together they launched the Krapp Strapp by Airboss to help people especially those aged one to ‘do the do’ outdoors.

Initial Pitch

The owners came on the show to seek $65K for a 10% equity stake. They have launched a belt type of product that helps to relieve our system outdoors in case of no availability of washrooms. The Krapp Strapp has side pockets too to carry toilet accessories around in times of need. Their product can carry up to 400 pounds of weight.

Queries about the Product

Mr. Wonderful asked the first question about their sales. Keith replied that the product was launched in the market in October of last year. This was done with no investment in advertising. They sold around 4K units last year and every unit went through their e-commerce website.

Lori and Kevin simultaneously inquired about the charges for one unit of their product. The owner highlighted that one unit is sold for $49.95.

Herjavec then asked about the cost it takes them to make the product. Keith answered that it takes $17 to make one.

Lori wanted to know how people got awareness about their product if they had spent $0 on the advertisement. Bobb replied that Keith posted one social media post and it got 1.2M views within only five days, which is pretty impressive.

Daymond asked what they need the $65K for. Keith replied that they already tried their luck in different platforms for marketing which was not fruitful. Thus, they are reaching the sharks to get help in sales and marketing.

Shark’s Response and Final Decision

Herjavec was the first shark to pass the deal as he even though liked their dedication and sales he does not consider himself to be fit for the business.

Kevin also liked the product but he is not sure to invest in it, leading to his backing out too.

Daymond showed interest in investing in the business and asked Lori to be a partner with him in it. Lori readily jumped in.

Cuban then decided to leave the deal and also highlighted that if the two sharks didn’t offer them a good deal then he would definitely invest in their product.

Lori and Daymond combinedly offer them $65K but for 35% equity in their company, which is huge. Bobb then counter-offered them $65K for a 25% equity stake.

The sharks then revised their offer and pitched a deal of $65K for 33.3% of their company.

Finally, Keith and Bobb accepted their revised offer.

Product’s Availability

The company is still operating and saw a huge increase in sales after being featured on Shark Tank. The exposure from the show played a major role in promoting the product, making the brand more well-known and recognizable to a broader audience.
