Life is getting busier by the day, and as a result, many couples struggle to spend meaningful time together. This lack of daily connection can lead to distance and create a sense of emptiness in their relationship. Over time, without shared moments and real conversation, their bond may weaken, leaving them feeling detached and disconnected.
Jeff Feiereisen and Brett Skaloud, the founders of Boona, have the perfect shower time solution for all couples. They have introduced not one but a two-showerhead solution that is not only easy to use but also saves a lot of our renovating expenditure. The product also optimizes the water pressure and can be installed within a couple of minutes.
The owners came on Shark Tank to request $400K in exchange for 10% of their company. They also presented the sharks with their product and gave a demo with their two models to highlight the purpose behind it. Let’s see if they got the deal or not.
Boona Net Worth Shark Tank Update
Jeff and Brett were looking for an investment of $400K in exchange for 10% equity in the company. At the time of the episode, they valued their company at $4 million. Jeff and Brett did not secure a deal with any of the Sharks, so the company’s net worth remained at $4 million. After the show was aired, the company experienced a good boost in exposure. As per my rough estimate, the current net worth of Boona in 2024 is around $8.5 million.

The Founders’ Backstory
Brett, 38, and Jeff, 33, had previously collaborated on mechanical and hardware engineering for Amazon Go’s cashier-less stores. After leaving Amazon, they stayed in touch, discussing various topics, including their personal lives and even the challenges of sharing a shower with their partners. Jeff shared his frustrations with showering alongside his partner, which aligned with Brett, who had just installed two shower heads at his wife’s request during a bathroom remodel. With their engineering backgrounds, the idea of creating a dual shower head led to their launch of Boona.
Initial Pitch
The founders came on the show to seek $400K for a 10% equity stake. Their product is a tandem that provides two shower heads that can be installed on our own without a renovator or contractor. The product works by extending the rod and then adding the valve which leads to the connection of the showerheads.
Queries about the Product
Corcoran asked the first question about the pressure balance between the two shower heads. Brett highlighted that so far, they have more than 5K customers and 4.7 ratings which shows that the pressure of the device is clearly on point.
Herjavec wanted to know the duration of gaining 5k customers. The co-founder replied that they started pre-ordering in April 2022.
Jeff also added that in July they started posting about their product online which ended up gaining 50M views on Tik Tok and 50M on Instagram.
Kevin asked about their sales. Jeff explained that during the Kickstarter their sales were $750K which equals to about 3K units.
The shark also asked about their estimated current year’s sales and the profit from it. Brett highlighted that it would be about $1.7M and their gross profit margin would be about 71%. They would make about $850K profit on it basically.
Lori asked about the selling price of their product. He pointed out that the first SKU is about $249 which includes one shower head. The other SKU with two showers is about $299
Corcoran interrupted and asked why they were selling the one shower head system. Jeff pointed out that a lot of their customers are more into their handheld showerheads and thus want to customize their product according to their own taste.
Kevin was interested to know the cost of making the single and dual showerhead SKUs. Jeff related that the one with a single shower head is about $69 landed and the other also comes in the same cost range.
The Cubans were curious about their ultimate goal in terms of their business. The co-founder highlighted that they wanted to build a brand out of it and also work on their handheld SKU.
Kevin inquired about the year in which they will make about $5M in sales. They mentioned that it is probably going to be next year.
Shark’s Response and Final Decision
Corcoran was the first shark to leave the deal as she is interested in taking a bath and also loves to have full pressure while washing herself out. Moreover, she hates being in the shower with her husband.
As Herjavec won’t buy the product himself he can’t invest in such a product as well.
Cuban highlighted that he does not consider their business to be an investable one, leading to his backing out of the deal.
Lori also passed the deal as she couldn’t connect with the product.
Kevin asked them to choose between two offers. One of them is $400K for a 10% equity along with a royalty of $40 per unit sold until $1.2M is paid back. The other offer is $400K for 33.3% equity in their company, which will make him a third partner in their business.
The co-founders then counter-offered Kevin for $600K for 20% equity, which Mr. Wonderful readily rejected.
After a lot of discussion, Kevin took back his offers and thus Jeff and Brett left the tank without a deal.
